The New Dirty Dozen. Yuck!

Eating Well Magazine (which I love, and to which you should subscribe  immediately if you like healthy, tasty recipes and reliable info on all things having to do with eating well and healthfully) had a little sidebar in the May/June 09 issue about the the 12 most contaminated (with pesticides) nonorganic fruits and veggies.  To wit:

The Top 12 Foods You Should Buy Organic Whenever Possible:

  • Peach
  • Apple
  • Bell Pepper
  • Celery
  • Nectarine
  • Strawberries
  • Cherries
  • Kale
  • Lettuce
  • Grapes (Imported)
  • Carrot
  • Pear
